A monthly active contact (MAC) is any unique contact that sends or receives at least one message during a billing month. Contacts that don't interact won't count toward your limit.
Yes, you can upgrade or downgrade your plan at any time. When upgrading, you'll be charged the prorated difference. When downgrading, the new rate will apply from your next billing cycle.
